The idea of a primarily cloud-centric OS is nothing revolutionary; the earliest examples date back to 1999. And although numerous other attempts at developing Web-centric OSes none up to this point have truly broken into the mainstream. But some current offerings present welcome alternatives to mainstream operating systems, packing in useful features and making it easier to access your online content.

Unlike a physical computer, your Virtual Computer (VC) is "hosted" in a professional data center somewhere in the Internet "cloud" and is accessible as a web page in any browser. You can run the entire VC from any Internet browser without the need to install any software or "sync" files. Just enter your username and password, and continue using your VC from exactly the state you last left it in.

G.ho.st

G.ho.st offers every person in the world a free Virtual Computer (VC). G.ho.st is simply pronounced "ghost", an acronym of Global hosted operating system (written G.ho.st with two dots because a URL (web address) must have dots!). The idea behind Jolicloud is to create a more "organic" OS, removing the need for costly software with Web alternatives.

EyeOS is one of the most established cloud-centric OSes, having been around since 2005. Since its launch the open-source cloud computing OS has gone on to gain support from various companies and organizations

as users.

Windows4All

We're not to sure what Microsoft would make of this one. Powered by Silverlight, Windows4All mimics the desktop environment of Windows 7.

Offering many of the basic programs that ship with the real deal, such as Paint, Notepad and Solitaire, Windows4All is more of an experiment rather than a legitimate Web OS. Either way it still makes for an interesting in-browser experience.

Check whether your Pc is infected with virus

This is a very old trick, however I am sharing this with you, and it may be of useful for those who are not aware of this.

This is a basic check to determine whether your system is infected with any kind of virus or not

Step 1- go to start-run-command

( type only the letters & dots in Bold)

Step 2- type cd.. (notice the two dots) and press enter

Step 3- type cd.. (again) and press enter

Step 4- type (cd windows) and press enter

Step 5- type (cd system32) and press enter

Step 6- type (setup) and enter

If you get that message,

then you have to switch to the control panel to install components and systems composition

Then that means your pc is clean.

The idea here is to see whether the (setup)file which is located within (system32)is shut down or open. When your PC is infected the setup file will be shut down, and open when your PC is not infected, as most viruses will shut down all system.exe extensions.
